EMI Spring 2017 Internship

SA Chikankata Mission PM Photo

Earlier this year, I had the privilege of serving Zambian people as an Engineering Ministries International Design Intern. I assisted a team of 13 engineers, surveyors, and architects on an infrastructure assessment of the Chikankata Salvation Army mission site. We were able to build lasting relations and determine underlying issues in their electrical and water systems. Even though I’ve transited from EMI to Love Thy Neighborhood (LTN), it warms my heart to know that the good work that began last spring will be continued this fall. Read more about my trip here.

It’s still not to late to support this missions trip! As of October 1st, I still owe $2,385 to cover the expenses directly related to my internship (travel, internship fees). If you’ll like to support this missions trip, please give online directly to EMI on my behalf. Financial support in this way allows me to continue this journey God has placed me in Louisville, KY.

Love Thy Neighborhood Fall 17-18 Year Long Internship

Since my last impactful missions assignment with Engineering Ministries International last spring (which included my first trip to Africa), the Lord has lead me to the inner city mission field of Louisville, Kentucky! Yup that’s right.. KENTUCKY! Home of Kentucky Fried Chicken, the Kentucky Derby, Muhammad Ali and now MOI for at least a year. So if you are keeping up with my nomadic lifestyle.. that means I’ve lived in California, Colorado and now Kentucky all within the last year. As much as I like to travel, it’s about time I start pursuing long term purpose-filled projects. So here I am in Louisville and I feel the Holy Spirit telling me I’m exactly where I need to be. For the next 11 months I’ll be interning with an social justice organization called Love Thy Neighborhood (LTN) while serving as a construction management intern at CrossRoads Missions.

I will be blogging throughout my journey so check back often to stay up to date with what the Lord is doing around me. To support my current assignment please give directly to LTN here.
